Kindle Book Promotion Made Easy

You're an author, right? Do you want to sell more books, but are not sure how? In fact, do you want kindle book promotion made easy for you? Here are a few key tips that could make the difference between your book not selling, and your getting lots of exposure.

All of these promotion strategies are free to use, so there's no excuse not to use them! Most are easy to implement, although some do take a bit of your time.

KDP Select Free Promotion

Assuming you have a version of your book published on Amazon's Kindle, enrol your book in Amazon's KDP Select. This allows you to give your book away for up to 5 days. This in itself will generate a lot of interest, and will probably result in your book climbing Amazon's rankings.

To manage this, log into your kdp.amazon.com account and set up a Free Book Promotion. Make a note of the dates you've chosen for the promotion.

Online Book Review Sites

This step, while free, will take a bit of your time. In order to maximise your exposure during your free promotion, it makes sense to announce your book promotion on book review sites. Most of these are paid sites, but there are a number that are free to use.

Sign up with all the free book review sites announcing your free KDP Select promotion, and make sure you put in the dates of your promotion. You'll need to do this eight days or more in advance to guarantee they'll post your promotion.

Get Amazon Reviews

One of the things that separates successful authors from the is getting many reviews. Reviews are persuasive! They are one of the only means your audience has to decide whether to buy your book. So email your lists, use social media and get people to review your book! You'll need to remind people several times, in my experience.

Oh, and don't get family members or close friends to review your book, as Amazon will remove these and may take action against you.

Use Amazon Central

This free resource seems to be little known by first-time authors. Amazon has a page reserved for every author it publishes. You just need to complete it. Post all your books, there a good biography and a professional head & shoulders picture of you.

You can also include videos if you like.
